Governance

TOR operates under the governance of its community, engaging in forum discussions and voting on proposals through the TOR Snapshot. Currently, proposals presented to the Snapshot voting system by the CORE carry binding authority if they secure passage with a quorum.

Decisions related to significant structural alterations and the utilization of the devfund wallet undergo community voting. Meanwhile, minor operational adjustments and alterations to Tor menu farming pairs are decided by the core team.

Our goal is to establish a DAO with working, trustless governance. This is not an easy task by any measure, and is not something that will be rushed. All are welcome to discuss how the future DAO should work, as well as how the current governance model works, by participating on our forums and in the #governance.

Proposals & Voting

We encourage any community member to submit proposals on our forums. To enhance readability for prospective voters, kindly adhere to the provided template when creating a thread. If you wish to include a poll in your thread, feel free to reach out to a member of the core team or a community team representative.

If your proposal garners enough support, the core team may elevate it for voting on our Snapshot platform. Here, the community, in collaboration with Tor Wallet, will collectively vote to determine the proposal's outcome.
